For similar sets see Ann Pitman's new book, Juliana Jewelry Reference, DeLizza & Elster Identification & Value Guide, page 32 - 42.  This brooch has two layers of various shapes and colors of rhinestones.  The top of the brooch has large oval rootbeer rhinestones surrounded by small emerald green rounds and with medium ab rounds between the large ovals and in the center.  The bottom layer has rootbeer marquise and watermelon, or heliotrope, rootbeer marquise with larger ab chatons.  The earrings have the same oval stones surrounded by a row of the emerald green rounds and then an outer row of rootbeer, watermelon rootbeer marquise and ab rounds.  Brooch is 2 3/4" at the largest point and the earrings are 1 1/2" x 1 1/4".  Metal is gold tone plating and this set is in very good to excellent condition.
